PERMITTING AND CLOSURES

Tewhey Associates has worked with a number of local and national industrial firms, municipalities, and utility districts in the preparation of permit applications and in the completion of hazardous waste facility closures. Our technical staff is knowledegable and experienced with the state and federal regulatory requirements pertaining to (1) solid waste landfills, (2) hazardous waste treatment, storage and disposal, and, (3) air and wastewater discharges. Our staff has participated as instructors for two NBI environmental regulation compliance courses which were given in southern Maine in 1994 and 1995. Course titles were Avoiding Environmental Liability in Maine (NBI, 1994) and A Practical Guide to Environmental Regulation in Maine (NBI, 1995).
